Heathrow Expansion DCO
Heathrow Expansion is one of the UK’s largest ever infrastructure projects. The project is subject to considerable scrutiny, particularly related to the effects it has on the environment.
Manston Airport DCO
Members of Logika were responsible for leading the environmental work associated with an application for Development Consent Order to reopen Manston Airport, Kent.
Wild London, Open London
The role of Wild London, Open London was to improve access to and the use of the network of parks, gardens, nature reserves, rivers, canals and other areas of green space in London.
RAF St Athan
Provision of environmental consultancy to the largest single MoD contract ever awarded and the largest single contract in Wales.
A Green Street Vision for Central London
The Greater London Authority (GLA) wished to articulate to stakeholders, such as the London Borough of Camden and Transport for London, how green infrastructure and other interventions could be used to improve air quality along some of London’s most polluted roads.
Hinkley New Nuclear Power Station
A new Nuclear Power Station is currently under construction at Hinkley Point, Somerset. This was permitted via a Development Consent Order as it is a piece of National Significant Infrastructure.
West Thurrock Riverside
West Thurrock Riverside suffered from a range of constraints that left the industrial areas constrained and under used and the residential areas with a poor provision of local services and facilities. Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation required the preparation of a Development Brief and Implementation Plan to guide future development proposals for the West Thurrock Riverside area.
Nevendon Nature Reserve
The undertaking of an optioneering study for the design of a new nature reserve at Nevendon Road near Basildon in Essex.
Ending the Cranford Agreement at Heathrow Airport
Ending the Cranford Agreement will enable a rebalancing of the airfield operations, which will bring environmental and most particularly noise benefits. It received planning consent following a Public Inquiry in 2017.
Cross River Park
Environmental design input into a feasibility study for a large new urban park, comprising of land within the London Boroughs of Greenwich and Newham and to include the River Thames that would pass through its centre.
Design for Biodiversity
Design for Biodiversity was London’s guidance to developers on when and how green infrastructure could be incorporated within their developments.
Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi, Kenya
The Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) Expansion Project comprises the expansion and modernisation of existing passenger terminal facilities, airfield infrastructure and systems, landside car parking and access roads. Appointed by the European Investment Bank, members of Logika provided environmental technical assistance.
Abu Dhabi International Airport
The Midfield Terminal project aims to boost the aviation sector in the United Arab Emirates, handle up to 45 million passengers annually and set a benchmark for airports over the next 20 years.
Bury St. Edmunds Masterplan
Hopkins Homes submitted a successful outline planning application for up to 1,250 new homes with supporting infrastructure, community uses and other public amenities on a 68ha site in the south-east of Bury St Edmunds.
Tower Hamlets Building Schools for the Future
The Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme was a Labour government investment scheme for secondary schools in England. The scheme aimed to provide modern school buildings and state-of-the-art facilities for all children and staff.
Greenwich Peninsula Landscape Masterplan
Greenwich Peninsula was a heavily industrialised part of London that has been undergoing a major transformation since English Partnerships (now Homes England) purchased 121 hectares of disused land and invested over £225m to decontaminate the site, enhance the transport network and create new homes, commercial space, community facilities, parkland and public space along the river.
