OUR APPROACH & DELIVERABLES:
EIA lead and environmental services provided for the development of aerospace business operations on 83 hectares of land at Cranfield Airport. The proposals include the construction of ground infrastructure comprising up to 16 hangers, offices, workshops, storage buildings and engine ground running enclosure (GRE), as well as changes in aircraft movements and aircraft type.
Noise modelling of aircraft engine testing was undertaken to inform the location and technical design of the GRE to optimise its ability to reduce the noise of aircraft engine testing for residential properties.
Logika worked closely with the landscape architects to ensure green infrastructure was embedded into the design to ensure it offered multiple opportunities including Biodiversity Net Gain, visual amenity benefits and SuDS requirements.
