Bury St. Edmunds Masterplan
Hopkins Homes submitted a successful outline planning application for up to 1,250 new homes with supporting infrastructure, community uses and other public amenities on a 68ha site in the south-east of Bury St Edmunds.
Logika staff developed the landscape proposals for the application. The landscape strategy carefully integrated the existing river corridor and an overhead power line into a green infrastructure network of public open space with riverside footpaths and cycleways, habitat areas for otters, wooded corridors for bats, sustainable drainage features, allotments, sports facilities and play areas. Wide woodland shelterbelts with hedgerow planting help soften the transition to the agricultural land beyond.
