Environmental design input into a feasibility study for a large new urban park, comprising of land within the London Boroughs of Greenwich and Newham and to include the River Thames that would pass through its centre.
Logika Consultants led the work that generated the baseline environmental information for the site area gained via the undertaking of a large scale desk study. Following notable stakeholder engagement and consultation, input was provided to the design strategy with objectives formed relating to ensuring the provision of recreational and amenity use, biodiversity benefits and other environmental features.
Design options were put forward that tied in with planning and regeneration policy locally and within the region, as well as ensuring the provision of opportunities to meet with the objectives of the East London Green Grid and Thames Gateway Parklands Strategy.
