Sophie Thorpe

Sophie is a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant with Logika and joined the company in 2024.

Sophie is a Chartered Water and Environmental Manager with over 6 years’ experience in flood risk management, largely consisting of the preparation of site-specific Flood Risk Assessments (FRA) and Surface Water Drainage Strategies for planning purposes, covering residential, commercial and industrial schemes. She has also been responsible for the production of a range of FRAs for non-planning purposes, including to inform constraints assessments prior to site acquisition and to support COMAH and BREEAM accreditations.

Sophie’s recent experience also includes the project management and technical preparation of Strategic Flood Risk Assessments (SFRAs) for Local Authorities, Flood Evacuation Plans, Flood Risk Activity Permit (FRAP) applications and Flood Risk and Drainage Environmental Impact Assessment input.

Sophie welcomes multidisciplinary collaboration and has experience in providing comprehensive advice to ensure flood risk and drainage constraints and opportunities are considered as early as possible in the master planning process, with the aim of maximising multifunctional benefits.
